Genuine OEM Volkswagen / Audi turbo boost control solenoid valve, part number 1H0 906 627. Pierburg 7.21903.20.

What it does: this is the electro-pneumatic pressure converter that sits between the vacuum supply and the turbo wastegate actuator. The engine ECU pulses it to regulate boost pressure. When one fails you get the familiar turbo complaints – underboost and a flat, gutless engine, or overboost that trips the ECU into limp mode, often with a boost pressure regulation fault stored.
