I personally pulled this from a 1986 Vanagon GL Westfalia, I kept this as a spare for my 1986 Syncro Vanagon, I tested it by swapping it into my van and it performs perfectly. We are converting the van to diesel and I will no longer need this part. The unit appears to have been remanufactured at some point.
